During this fun and creative weekend course in Magic
you will cover everything from basic sleight of hand techniques, patter and misdirection to how to interact with audiences and entertain them, as well as how to create your own tricks and routines.
The course focuses on the technical, psychological and entertainment aspects of magic, providing a balanced foundation for your future as a performer in this art.
No prior knowledge of magic or preparation is required.

COURSE CONTENT
DAY 1 - Saturday
- Introduction to the different categories of magical effects and the fundamental rules of deception
- Basic sleight of hand techniques focusing on playing cards, coins, notes, cups, balls, fruit, books and other objects
- The psychological aspects of performing, including the art of misdirection, building confidence and creating rapport
- How to deal with different types of audiences and the power of body language, gestures and words
DAY 2 - Sunday
- More sleight of hand techniques
- Simple self-working tricks
- How to make magic entertaining, including patter, performance style, structuring tricks and routines, building drama and storytelling
- Gimmick Workshop - How to make and use gimmicks
- Demonstration of tried and tested products and props on the magic market and tips on what to look for when buying
